We are seeking a driven and experienced Senior Analyst to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to take on meaningful responsibility, work directly with Associates, Officers, and Partners, and help deliver life-changing results for our clients.

What You’ll Do

As a Senior Analyst, you’ll play a critical role in deal execution, business development, and operations. You will:

Execution – Live Deals

• Proactively build deal-related deliverables, including Confidential Information Presentations (CIMs), financial models, forecasts, and valuation analyses.
• Manage key elements of the M&A process with limited oversight and anticipate buyer questions.
• Support and occasionally step into Associate-level responsibilities when needed.

Business Development

• Conduct industry and transaction research to support pitches, industry snapshots, and new business opportunities.
• Contribute analysis and recommendations to senior bankers with confidence.
• Represent and market ArkMalibu’s value proposition effectively in conversations with clients, prospects, and other M&A ecosystem players.

Operations & Mentorship

• Train and mentor Analysts and Interns in financial modeling, process management, and “the ArkMalibu way.”
• Update and maintain internal systems (HubSpot, deal repositories, etc.) to ensure operational excellence.
• Identify process improvements and propose creative solutions to strengthen the firm’s efficiency.

How You’ll Grow

At ArkMalibu, apprenticeship is core to our culture. As a Senior Analyst, you will:

• Work closely with Associates, Officers, and Partners on live transactions.
• Gain hands-on exposure to the full lifecycle of sell-side M&A.
• Build leadership skills by overseeing Analyst work and guiding interns.
• Develop fluency in advanced financial modeling, valuation, and deal structuring.
• Be positioned for advancement into Associate-level responsibilities as you prove your ability to deliver results.

Who You Are

We’re looking for candidates who are:

• Experienced with 2+ years in investment banking, private equity, consulting, corporate finance, or a related M&A role.
• Strong financial modelers with advanced Excel skills and familiarity with CapIQ/PitchBook.
• Excellent communicators who can balance multiple intellectually challenging tasks under deadlines.
• Self-starters with curiosity, attention to detail, and the ability to manage priorities independently.
• Passionate about working in a boutique firm environment where every contribution makes an impact.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related quantitative field (required).
